During Semester 1, my Social Studies work was focused around climate justice, and considering how the concept of intersectionality that I learned about last year can be applied to looking at climate change. I researched topics such as ecofeminism and environmental racism, and I also learned about climate migration. I did two projects to show my learning for my climate justice work this semester: I prepared presentations on climate justice that I will soon present to middle schoolers, and I did a project comparing the United States and Nepal and each country's relationship to climate change.
